✨Blossoms✨
house Music is a vibratory gem, a sensory blanket, it’s an integral part of my life.
It's my writing partner at six o’clock in the morning or ten o’clock in the evening.
Those beats, melodies, and rhythms give me life as I am pouring life into whatever
I’m writing. It plays as I'm getting ready for work, during my morning commute,
while I am at work, and in my ears as I travel home. True story.
THE MUSIC GOT ME !
“Turn that music down” followed by stomping on the floor and again screaming, “TURN THAT MUSIC DOWN” was a common occurrence in my house growing up. As a teenager one of my favorite things to do was play music in the basement. Loud! This drove my mother nuts, especially since I would turn it down for about five minutes and then ease the volume back to the loud level. Sorry mom. I blame it on the music. It took a hold of me.
It captured me, and always has. And still does.
I wear House Music like a cozy warm winter coat. I consume it as an elixir. Every day I take a journey with House Music. I close my eyes and escape into my happiness zone, my introspective mode. My mind takes a vacation from the orchestrated chaos that surrounds me. House Music reveals the beauty within allowing me to locate the peaceful moments in my life.
The first time I heard House Music it immediately compelled my whole body, soul, and spirit to experience continuous rhythmic motion. House Music loves me and I love House Music. It’s a whole feeling as you’re releasing, dancing, moving every part of your body to the beat, the beat, the beat. Breathing and unloading your worries in those moments’... music is all I need, want, and enjoy.
At twelve, thirteen years old I developed an appreciation for jazz.
I would focus on one instrument being played on a jazz song and then start the song over again and focus on another instrument. I repeated this until I identified each instrument played in the song. As far as I know I have no musically inclined immediate family members, so I am clueless where my music addiction comes from.
I was returning to work at WNBC-TV after my lunch break and I met this man on a motorcycle. He’s a musician. Ten years later we said, “I do”. It didn’t last. But the music does. Fifteen years evaporates into the air, and I write, direct, and produce a short film about music. House Music. THE MUSIC GOT ME. True story.

Movement In Time
by Kristen M.
As darkness transforms to lightness
I am reminded of you
As the moon illuminates the skies
I am reminded of you
As the sun’s majesty warms my breasts
I am reminded of you
You
The dark prince of lightness
Encircled in gods rising sun
Endowed with intelligence
Beauty
And perfect self expression
We make our confessions
Blended with creative bliss
In the midst of the stars above
And the oceans waves below
When we met
We smiled
And the world was better off
As our lips spread
The pulse of friendship was born
Traveling on an endearing road
Time dissolving into more time
And finally we explode
Into ecstasy
Conversely transforming a friendship
Into an exclusive love ship
And divinely
As darkness transforms to lightness
I am reminded of you
